Bank Code Maintenance

This program is used to maintain information for each bank account from which checks can be drawn for payment of invoices. Multiple bank accounts can be established using a single character code for each account, such as A, B, C, etc.

Bank Code Maintenance
Bank Code The Bank Code consists of 1 character you will assign to identify this account.   This code will be used to select an account to be debited during Manual Payment Entry or Check Printing.
Bank Code Description The Bank Code Description is normally the name of the bank or some other description of this account such as Cash - City Bank.
Bank Assigned Account Number The bank identifies each account with an assigned number. This bank account number can be found on your monthly bank statement or on your checks.
Refer to your Chart of Accounts set up on the G/L menu to enter the following General Ledger account numbers:
General Ledger Cash Account This number identifies the cash account which will be credited when payments are drawn against it.
General Ledger Interest Earned This number identifies the G/L account to which interest will be posted during Bank Reconciliation.
General Ledger Bank Fee This number identifies the G/L account to which miscellaneous expenses such as fees will be posted during Bank Reconciliation.
Date Last Reconciled This is the date on which your bank statement was last reconciled to the Accounts Payable detail in the system.
Next Check Number When checks are printed, each check is given a sequentially-assigned check number.   This number is displayed as the Next Check Number.   If you are using Dynamo Accounts Payable for the first time, enter the check number of your first check form.
Reconciled Balance This is the account balance as of the last reconciliation date.
