Excellware was founded in 2002 as a successor to Computer/Dynamics which started in 1974. For over 50 years, Excellware has supported its clients with a robust, scalable and easy to use ERP software system designed and developed to increase your efficiency, productivity and accuracy.  Configurable to meet your specific needs.  All to allow you to grow your business and increase your profits.

IME 86 4-function calculator we sold in the ’60s. One of the very first calculators to have a square root button. You could watch the display numbers change for a few seconds while it computed the answer.

Our History

1959
Leonard L Krause founded Electronic Data Technology to market paper based tape word processing equipment to generate Reader’s Digest like personalized form letters. EDT also sells the first calculator with a single button square root key. It had 26 circuit boards! Word Processing products evolved to cassette tape, diskette, and eventually hard-drive based computer systems.

1974
Leonard L and his son Len Krause founded Computer/Dynamics to market Basic Four computer systems. The Basic Four was one of the first multi-user mini-computer refrigerator-sized systems that used CRT displays and not punched cards for input. Computer/Dynamics begins to develop software for the Basic Four called Dynamo.

Computer/Dynamics enables Dynamo to run on a Personal Computer with an 80286 Intel processor and the SCO Xenix operating system, enabling for the first time, multiple users to run Dynamo on hardware other than Basic Four.

Computer/Dynamics becomes an authorized IBM Risc System 6000 reseller, making Dynamo available to companies with 30 to 300 users.

Computer/Dynamics releases its first Accounts Payable and General Ledger modules eliminating the need for third party packages.

2000
After the completion of all Y2K projects, Computer/Dynamics releases DynaWeb, which provides real-time online access to Dynamo data for your customers. Computer/Dynamics makes the transition from AIX and SCO Unix operating systems to Red Hat Linux, and recommends that platform to all customers, even those with a large number of users, previously limited to AIX based systems. Computer/Dynamics releases a version of Dynamo Tools and Dynamo based on the new BBj language offering enhanced functionality.

Len Krause acquires the assets of Computer/Dynamics to start Excellware, Inc. after the passing of his father in 2000. Enhancements to Dynamo and especially Dynamo Tools continue to be made to modernize the application, and to complete customer software development even faster than before.

Excellware announces the availability of FacetPhone, a comprehensive computer based telephone system that integrates with Dynamo.

Excellware announces DynaScan which provides paperless inventory receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and physical inventory using Motorola (Symbol) hand-held systems.

Excellware announces DynaMine, a fully automated data mining/data warehouse for all your Dynamo data.

Excellware announces Dynamo 11, the latest version of Dynamo with a boatload of new features.

Excellware announces DynaStart, enabling users to run Dynamo from a Windows PC, an Apple Mac, or a linux workstation, without needing any terminal emulation software to be installed on the workstation.

Excellware announces DynaStore which provides automatic cloud-based storage of all Dynamo reports.

Excellware announces DynaFax which enables faxing from Dynamo without need for a fax modem, phone line, or other fax software.

Excellware becomes an authorized Google Apps for Business reseller, providing implementation, migration, training, and support services for companies looking to achieve the benefits of cloud based computing.

Excellware releases integration with eCommerce package Magento, offering bidirectional transfer of data simplifyng product catalog updates and sales order creation.

Excellware releases a plugin for the popular Eclipse IDE to achieve the same integration with the Dynamo Tools data dictionary enjoyed by users of the Dynamo Tools Program Editor.

Excellware releases two new graphical menu systems. One for traditional desktop users that can be used with PC''s running Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac's, and even Linux Graphical workstations, eliminating for the first time, the need for terminal emulation such as FacetWin or putty.

The second menu system is a simple buton menu intended for web sites.

Excellware releases Dynascan, a graphical replacement for our legacy character based hand-held bar-code reading terminals designed to make purchase order receiving and physical inventory quicker and more reliable.

Excellware releases the Desktop App replacing the jnlp based Dynastart application simplifying deployment to user devices, and automating the upgrade process for java and BBj components.

Excellware releases Amazon integration that automatically imports Amazon sales data into Dynamo, eliminating the need for manual entry of sales data. Biweekly reconcilation with Amazon payment and charges makes balancing a breeze.

Excellware releases integration with eCommerce package Magento 2, with performance improvements and added functionality, which updates online product catalog data with product information from Dynamo including pricing, inventory availablility. and product descriptive data.

After over 45 years, Excellware closes its office as the Corona Virus requires employees to work from home. But with Google Workspace and Ring Central telephone service, business goes on without noticable change.

Excellware expands Credit Card support for Heartland Payment Systems, providing secure, PCI compliant processing both card-not-present and card-present transactions using Pax payment terminals.
